Last night I said good-bye to an old friend. A friend that had been around every Thursday night for the last 15 years. It was a bitter sweet time as I knew this friend must move on to different things (i.e. reruns), however it was sad knowing that this friend was not going to be there every Thursday night like they had been since we were introduced when I was a freshman in college...
I have to admit that I watched every episode the first season and then sporadically for the next couple of seasons and then I didn't watch it again until a few years ago...I sat down to watch it one night and I was hooked again. So I have been trying to catch up with all the story lines through reruns. The medical part of the show was interesting, but it was the stories and lives of the doctors that I loved. And even though the doctors changed over those 15 years I still loved all their stories and am left to think of all the story lines that have changed for me in those 15 years...I went from being a "giddy" college freshman, to working woman, to a wife and mother...maybe that is why I like the show so much, because it reminds me of how much I have changed in my life during that time...
The show had reached its prime and it was time for it to say good-bye, but it is a little like saying goodbye to an old friend for me...what to do with Thursday night at 10/9 central now...goodbye old friend...
****Just to let you know Ryan does think I am a little silly for being "upset" about this subject and blogging about it...oh well, what can I say!

I totally understand.
And how can he think you are silly when he bought old junker computers at $5 a piece???
:)
Aw, it's hard when shows end. Especially if you have been watching it for so long! Maybe you should use ths to catch up on the episodes that you missed? :o)
How come our guys think it's silly to post about things that are important to us!? They just don't understand! :) Maybe you'll start to like a new show now that ER won't be on anymore. Personally, I would just by the series or something! :) That would be cool. Then you could watch them whenever you wanted to.
